HOW TO APPLY FOR A GRANT.

The following describes features of a successful application for an Op Shop grant.

The funds allocated, will 

Assist in the provision of community development projects in the area of 

         community services, or

         sport and recreation or

          arts and culture or

Assist with the funding and implementation of major community projects or

Provide funding for charitable purposes, such payments to be limited to 5% of the annual net profit of the incorporated body in the year of payment.

 

The Grants system aims to assist non-profit community groups and organisations that are interested in and working toward the enhancements and well being of the residents of Kendall and district.  Each year Community groups can apply for funds of up to $20,000.  

 In addition funds are directed to one-off projects and sponsorships.

  In accordance with the Op Shop's constitution, 5% of annual net profits are donated to local and overseas charities.

 

THE PROCESS.

1. Collect an application form from the Op Shop during the period the forms are available. This is the only way the application forms can be            obtained. For 2020  period  the forms are available is 13th January to  4pm o n 7th February 

2. Complete the form and return it to the Op Shop by the due date for applications. (by 5pm on 7th Feb)  

3. All applications are considered by the Op Shop committee, and all applicants will be notified of the success or otherwise of their                             application.

4. Successful applicants are presented with their funds at a special grants ceremony approximately 2 months after the application process               opens... the 2020 Ceremony is being held on 19th March at the Kendall Services Club.
